5 /5 Warren Yarter: I purchased skis, boots, bindings, and poles for my girlfriend for Christmas. We live in Texas and the girl that helped us initially at Sun & Ski was very nice. We have not used the equipment until our ski trip to Mammoth this week. Yesterday was her first time skiing the boots and skis. Everything seemed to be ok until about half way through the day when her shin on her right leg became too painful to continue. We decided to bring the boots to the Mammoth Sun & Ski to see what could be done to make it better. The initial young man put her foot on the measuring device and said the boots were at least two sizes too big. He contacted his manager John who took us upstairs and explained what my gf was experiencing was “shin slap” from the boots being too big. He went through an entire boot fitting process with us and was EXTREMELY knowledgable and amazing at explaining what was important with a ski boot and why it was important. He found my gf a great pair of boots that fit properly and took care of us above and beyond. I cannot express how grateful we are for John and how excited we are to continue our two more days of skiing. Thank you John!

5 /5 Olí T: Great experience at Sun & Ski Sports in Mammoth Lakes. The tech who helped me was super responsive and clearly knew what he was doing. He walked me through what my skis and boots actually needed and made solid recommendations without pushing anything unnecessary. The pricing was great, especially for the quality of the work. There was an obvious difference in how my skis felt afterward — smoother, more responsive, and just overall better on snow. Everyone in the shop was friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. I’d recommend this place to anyone and wouldn’t trust my gear to anyone else.

He was patient with us we returned to the store for a 3rd time to purchase some snowboarding bindings. Thank you Mel you are awesome! We will return again.

5 /5 Angeline Pante: My friends and I rented our boots and boards here, and we had such a great experience. The staff were efficient and helpful with what we needed, and made sure we have the right size and fit. Ive been to other rental place which they literally just hand you the boots and boards and hope for the best. But here at Sun and Ski, they have a measuring tool to make sure we have the right size and fit. They even educated us about our boards and boots. The store is clean, organized and well-maintained. We also got some discounted rates for our snowboarding gear since we pre-booked them online (24hrs before). Im definitely booking here again when Im back in Mammoth.
