1 /5 Jane smith: My post is specific to the customer service of the staff. This comment is not related to the merchandise, which generally is offered at a great price. The selection is usually reasonable as well, with the exception of the (women’s) shoes which are the worst styles and poorest quality, so just skip that section.
I went to this location close to closing time and was redirected back out of the store by the manager a few moments after I walked in, as I was making my way toward the rear of the store. Though the store would be closing soon, I thought that when the doors are unlocked, customers are still permitted to shop. Incidentally, I only needed one item (I had scouted the store previously, so I knew exactly what I wanted and where it was located) and told the manager this. I also mentioned that I needed this item that night, as it was a planned gift for a family member. He told me the hours the store would be open the following day and pointed me right back out of the door! So unprofessional and left me feeling like I should spend my money elsewhere. Appropriate and adequate customer service procedures should be kept on the list of important skills to portray to and with customers if one decides to work in retail establishments. It goes a long way and costs nothing to be helpful!!
