1 /5 Teresa: In September I purchased online at Belk’s.com, a handbag, the Sak, Los Feliz hobo bag, and by the end of November, early December I noticed the stitching was coming apart in several places. I called the main number for Belk and was told that because it’s over 30 days, I would need to bring it to the Sebring store and that they would issue me a gift card, as a return or exchange is not possible. I accepted that as a solution. When I went to the Sebring Belk store, they would not honor that as they said they have a 30 day return policy. Even with this being a manufacturing defect they would not help me. They told me I would need to contact the Sak. I told them that on their site it clearly states they do not do returns for any other place of purchase. Only if purchased on their own store site. I sent them an email anyway seeing how Belk insisted that’s how manufacturing defects are handled after 30 days. They responded with “The Sak does not accept returns for Belk. I called the Belk store and spoke to the manager. He insisted that they will not take the return and told me to call the The Sak and speak to a supervisor. With no other way to contact the Sak, I had to send an email and ask for a supervisor to call me. That was Friday morning. Hopefully I will be getting a call within a few days. Will update this review accordingly.
