Earthbound - (Near Clearwater, FL)

1 /5 LJ Agoot: I went there yesterday with my sister and we were looking at the cool stuff around. Me and my sister decided to split around the small store checking out if we wanted to buy stuff. My sister wanted to buy something but they wanted to buy it later and check out some other stores. When we left, this blonde haired girl approached us and asked where my sister put the necklace at. We were shocked to be honest, it wouldve been fine if they told us in a nicer tone like "Hey, excuse me? I would like to ask about the necklace from earlier" but the girl just asked her about the bracelet like my sister "robbed" the store. She told me theyve been staring at her this whole time and when she pointed that out, I noticed they were at me too.

1 /5 Lyza A: Had such a bad experience at Earthbound Trading Co. in Countryside Mall, FL. I was just browsing with my sister and found a malachite necklace I liked. Tried it on, thought about buying it, and put it near other necklaces so I could find it later when I come back. When we left the store, a worker literally came after me asking where I put the necklace and saying it was “expensive” (mind you it was $16??). I walked back with her, showed her exactly where it was, and she didn’t even apologize. The whole time I was in the store, I felt like they were watching me. I was the only Asian there and everyone else, including the staff, was white. I left feeling annoyed. Honestly felt like I was being racially profiled. Ive read the other reviews here, another customer has also been racially profiled about 3 years ago. If your staff put as much effort into customer service as they do into side-eyeing people of color, maybe you’d sell more than $16 necklaces. Btw, it was a blonde-haired girl (about 5’0–5’1, wearing a ponytail). For a ‘peace and love’ hippie store, you sure give off more judgment and bad vibes than good energy.

5 /5 G G: I went to the Tampa location at first, but while the staff were friendly and welcoming, the selection wasnt that great. So I went to the Clearwater store and wow, what a difference! Great selection of unique hippy-esque clothes, decor, jewelry, incense, candles, even tarot and oracle decks! Prices are what you would expect in a mall, but as others have mentioned, you can get some great deals in clearance. I had a coupon for 20% off, which included clearance items, so I purchased an oracle deck for half the price of retail (sweet!). Plus, they have sales often so you can get some deals that way. Im not sure what the original hippie one-star reviewer is complaining about. The staff was very friendly, and I was welcomed as soon as I walked into the store. I will definitely stop in again the next time Im on this side of the bay.

3 /5 Roxanne Palmer: The staff get 5 stars, ESPECIALLY KAYLA, for doing a great job of keeping the costumer happy and protecting the sale all while navigating a horrible corporate exchange policy that will no doubt cost them customers over time. I just hope they can review those to ensure they keep customers and their lovely staff like KAYLA!!!!
