2 /5 Maeghan Steffes: I really want to enjoy shopping at Buckle, but every time I visit, I feel overwhelmed by the sales team. I understand they’re trying to be helpful, but the constant pressure makes it hard to browse comfortably. On my last visit, I mentioned that I was just looking around while my fiancé shopped in the men’s section, yet I still ended up with 20 items placed in a fitting room—none of which I even asked for.
To make matters worse, they didn’t ask my size and just assumed, so none of the items fit. It felt more like they were pushing a sale rather than genuinely trying to help. The experience gave me so much anxiety that I hesitate to step foot in the store again.
I appreciate good customer service, but sometimes, shoppers just want to browse. If we need help, we’ll ask. Buckle has great clothes, but I wish they would ease up on the aggressive sales tactics—it would make for a much more enjoyable shopping experience.
