1 /5 Darren B: Worst experience anywhere in a long time at the Rockford Kohls yesterday. Picked up a jacket off a rack that read 50% off. The tag said $65. At checkout, rang up $80 with 30% off. I went back to the rack to take a picture and noticed the sign said "Closeout coats and jackets" and listed regular prices as $140, $160, and $170 and then listed the three 50% off prices next to those.
Now Im confused. A manager was close by looking at the signage on the racks so I stopped her to explain how messed up this whole situation was. She was the rudest person Ive ever encountered when I tried to explain what was happening. She kept loudly talking over me asking me "Have you already rung it up?" I kept trying to explain and she wouldnt stop asking me that question in the most aggressive manner she could muster. I finally just walked away from her.
Back at the register, the very kind male clerk, who was confused as to what was going on, got a hot response from another manager named Katie, who berated him for not having his walkie turned up—even though I saw him turn it up—and said in her nasty tone, "Just give him the 50% off. We keep telling you that and youre not responding!" He was trying to explain to her that the price wasnt matching between the barcode and the printed price on the same tag. She would hear none of it.
We were all three just trying to explain to these two ladies how jacked up this whole thing was, but they couldnt be bothered. What an utterly disgusting experience. No wonder Kohls is circling the drain. Excepting the wonderful male cashier, worst customer service ever! What a joke this place is. I wont be back.
