tropicana vintage clothing - (Near Carbondale, IL)

2 /5 Humxn: The stuff in here was cool but we had a really strange experience with an employee. We fell in love with this weird vintage beaver sweater and upon asking how much it was we were told its not for sale. It was hanging up above a rack and seemed to be on display like every other item in the store. It didnt say not for sale or anything of that sort. We were very confused by this and since it was the thing we liked most we ended up buying nothing. We got about halfway through the store before this experience and then decided to leave. Imagine if you walked into a department store and saw an item prominently on display and then were told "no thats not for sale" when you tried to buy it. I find it pretty mind-boggling that you cant buy a piece of clothing in a clothing store. This store had a lot of interesting merchandise but evidently didnt want to sell us anything. I guess this place is worth a look if youre into vintage clothing but dont bother falling in love until you make sure that the item you like is actually for sale. We wont be back. You can choose to sell or not sell anything you want but expect people to feel let down if you do.

Martha hand prints and designs some super cool stuff, my spouse and I bought 6 patches from here and we will be making some cool, unique shirts out of them! some super cool things here, nice corduroys, vintage slip dresses, leather jackets, afghans and more! they also have lots of hats and some cool vintage aprons
