Adored Boutique - Grand Rapids

Rating: 4.7 /5
Julie Cooper Adored is such a gem! I had so much fun shopping there. I had the opportunity to meet the owner, Emily! She is amazing! She has curated such beautiful collections of fashion, jewelry and home. Every brand selected is because of their ethical production, and many are to support women in need. This is a boutique that I can always find something special and it feels good knowing I am supporting ethical fashion. This trip (because I am definitely coming back) I purchased earrings and pajamas designed by Emily. The earrings are signed by the women that directly benefited from the sale. Women supporting Women!!!

Clothes Mentor Portage, MI - Portage

Rating: 4 /5
Amanda GY Bunch This is the only thrift store I will ever go to, because I adore the selection so much & had great luck finding pieces that are in great shape! I always find what I need and then some, and honestly probably 75% of my wardrobe is from here. But, it is actually impossible to sell clothes here. My mom and I have come in on 4 separate occasions with our laundry baskets of washed, great condition, nicely folded clothes for them to look through, and never once have they accepted a single item from us. We joke whenever we talk about CM that our names are on a "do not buy" list because of how many times entire loads of fantastic clothes are rejected. On one occasion, I included a shirt that I had bought from them 2 weeks prior but took the tag off and couldnt return (it just wasnt flattering on me, nothing at all was wrong with it), and it was still rejected - it was a floral tank top at the start of summer, too. Most of the time I tell the workers Id straight up donate them to CM instead of taking them to Goodwill, to no avail. I still love Clothes Mentor, I just really wish I could take my clothes here instead of other thrift stores with shady/questionable/downright bad morals.
