5 /5 Niv Yosef: This was the best shopping experience I’ve had in a while. An old school NYC shop, great service and amazing prices (vs. other options I checked online). I don’t know much about tuxedos, so can’t review on the quality but it looks better than I expected. Quick process, left smiling with a tuxedo in less than an hour.

My boyfriend needed a tux, and the very first jacket Robert handed over was the perfect fit, very beautiful, very sharp. While trying on pants, we talked about how they met — on a plane back from Hawaii, and that they’ve been married 39 years, their sons and the military bases in the Philippines. Not only did my boyfriend get a really fantastic tux with all the amenities, top quality and for a very good price, we walked out of there with one of the best interactions ever. I wonder if they do women’s suits? I’d like to come back and try on for me — they really had fantastic styles. What a fantastic experience!

Everything was sooo reasonably priced and they were so soft spoken yet patient, kind, funny, and just overall great human beings. Would recommend to anyone looking for a simple suit!

5 /5 Laura Meyers: This place is a true slice of the old new york they made sitcoms about. It really is just full of tuxes - hanging from the ceiling, piles on the floor. If you are someone who can be intimidated by renting a tux, this place will absolutely cure you of that. Amazing variety and the people who own it are friendly and easy to talk to. We walked out with a tux for my fiancé in under an hour. Prices are truly amazing for a 30 day rental, and the option to keep your tux is also quite reasonable. Would highly recommend to anybody in search of an easy breezy non fussy (very non fussy....) tux purchase.

We landed in NYC and the first thing my boyfriend realized was the very expensive suit hed purchased to propose to me in was still hanging in his closet in California. I did some quick googling and found New Era. We beelined there and my boyfriend found the James Bond tux hed lusted after for about $100. With shoes, socks, tie, shirt, the price was INSANE! Plus, the owners are the sweetest, funniest couple. Dont let the prices fool you: the day my boyfriend wore this tux, he was stopped CONSTANTLY by men and women telling him how sharp he looked. The quality is fantastic and tailors on the same block can tailor while you wait! As you can see from pics, my boyfriend went on to propose, and marry me in Paris in his $100 tux from New Era. The whole experience there feels like stepping back in time to when customer service and quality mattered. We cannot wait to return!
