From the moment you walk in the store, you are greeted and there’s a sign that says welcome bride to be with your name. I brought a larger group of 6 women, the store has a beautiful private space in the back or the store with plenty of seating. I was able to pick through an online inventory catalog before my scheduled appointment. I ended up choosing a beautiful dress (and veil) that Laura picked out for me based on other dresses that I liked the style of. Laura is one of a kind. She was so helpful, patient and kind to me and I will never be able to thank her for all she did for me. The women who did my alterations were lovely to work with and my dress was perfect for my wedding day. Thank you ladies for everything!

It was the first, and only, place I went to, and I have zero regrets about that. I knew I wanted something beyond the traditional ivory white, and Town Shop had beautiful options that felt unique. When people saw me in my dress, they all said the same thing: That dress was made for you. I’m beyond grateful for the incredible staff. Tyann and Laura made me feel so beautiful in the dress I couldn’t say no to, and Rosie and Rusty made it truly mine. From the moment I walked through the door, I felt so special as a “bride-to-be” with a special sign greeting me and my family. Gretchen was very informative and patient during my gown consultation. The gown selection was unbelievable! They had multiple designers to choose from and hundreds of styles. By far their gown selection was the most I have seen over any other bridal shop. After I choose my gown and my order came in I had multiple fittings to make sure the fit was correct. The seamstresses were amazing to work with and had tailored my dress to fit like a glove. Their craftmanship was incredible, it looked amazing. Would highly recommend coming here for your wedding gown and special occasion dress needs!

5 /5 Sheri Parte: UNBELIEVABLY HAPPY BRIDE!!!!! The entire experience from start to finish they were welcoming and accommodating. Walking in I was immediately greeted by Gretchen. She sat with me giving me her full time and attention. We went over each and every single dress that I had listed that I wanted to see. She listened to me in what I was looking for. I had two different style weddings and said “yes” to BOTH of my wedding dresses here. The service they provided was exactly the experience that was looking for. Thank you Laura and Gretchen for making me feel so very special every time I walked in the door (even though you wanted to steal my sparkly shoes) Thank you everyone at Town Shop for making me a very happy bride X2!

AngiebeautyXo I’ve had amazing experiences with this Plato’s closet. Their buy and sell program is amazing . To funnel money back into the pockets of visitors and residents of Dutchess county while supply the area with affordable sustainable clothing is a win win for all! Their clothing selection is amazing. They’re putting out tons of great inventory daily and they buy most items from their sellers during the appropriate seasons. This is truly a place for everyone to go buy, sell and support . I have been going here since before they opened and have been able to see what this store has done for the community . Every morning there is a line an hour before shop opens with eager sellers which says a lot of what this store means to people. Great staff and owner , for this high demanding store and fast pace environment they’ve been doing an amazing job at keeping up with the community demands the last 8 months since grand opening .
