5 /5 Sophia: I visited Altoona Rescue Mission Thrift Store this week and was pleasantly surprised at how decent and affordable the pricing was. Unfortunately a majority of things were unmarked which made trying to shop awkward. The lady working the counter was very nice. The store was very clean a smidge too full but that isnt a bad thing when it comes to thrift stores. Ill definitely be back as this is the most affordable place to shop in Altoona currently.

5 /5 R E: Easily the best thrift store in Altoona. Best prices, best beneficiary services, and a great neighborhood location. Parking can be tough if you drive a big car but you could always park at Rutters, buy a candy bar and walk the 2 blocks (shh...) Oh, the staff are very kind too!! Cash only, but it is absolutely worth taking out some cash to hit this place. Recommended to everyone I know!

5 /5 Joyce Romine: The staff is always very friendly and a thrift store. All stuff is donated. Anyone can shop a thrift store but for those in need they are a great place to go. I would like to thank rescue mission for pricing their things at affordable prices for those who may be in need, There are some other thrift stores that are outrageous in the prices they want, especially when all things were donated. Rescue mission may not be A big store, but their prices are very reasonable and I thank them for that. They do a lot of good for others also. I give them five stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

5 /5 C S: Prices are better than Goodwill but its also hard to tell what the prices should be. The staff on hand that day was very friendly. The lady at the counter told me to get lots of stuff and theyd give me a great price on it. So I did. I was charged $25 for 25 pieces of childrens clothing. I was also asked if that was acceptable. I said yes, because it was! I asked what the prices usually are and she said $2 a piece and I said oh I didnt see anything on any signs in the back. I also stated that a lot of the clothing I bought were infants. Someone else that was in the store while I was shopping was need of scrubs for a new job she just started. They directed her where to go and she started going through the bin and then asked how much they would sell the whole tote bin for. They then asked her how much she was willing to pay. She purchased approximately 30 scrub shirts for $23 "because that was all she had in her account." Meanwhile, I watched her remove other scrub shirts and pants off of the rack and place them into the bag. Im glad they gave her a good deal, but at the same time that was very inconsiderate of that persons since she received such an awesome deal to begin with. The employees were so kind to her and even states they would pray for her and that all goes well with her new job! Worth checking out. Apparently theres a downstairs with appliances, furniture +++ the store was closing so I wasnt able to look, but Ill return eventually.
