1 /5 Brooks Hartmann: Bought a pair of jeans from Billy’s, unfortunately they did not fit. Took them back about a week later and the denied the return. The gray headed lady up front was a very condescending, rude with a zero personality mean woman. She accused me of wearing the jeans. She continued to belittle and call me a liar. I suggest never shopping there. I’ve never been in a retail store with such shitty employees. I can only how pathetic the owner and general manager is.

1 /5 Tina Hartmann: Would give a ZERO star but that’s not an option! I would not recommend anyone buying from here they do not honor return policy. Bought a hat and when we got home noticed it didn’t look right (height wise) we were told the crown was a 4 but it isn’t. We were mislead. Hat WAS NOT worn, we took it back the 4 hour drive to do so! The clerk told us the hats interior was worn and the words printed were worn off and the box didn’t belong to the hat! They were rude and couldn’t care less about the product, she went in the back to get another hat which looked exactly the same but not “worn on the inside” The hat we purchased was up front and could have been worn or tried on by many. Unfortunately we didn’t get a magnifier out and inspect every detail of what we thought was a Resistol 10X with a 4” crown Just a bad deal for us but great for them Not a business worth spending a penny in! And the clerk acting as if it’s funny

5 /5 JK SE: I bought a pair of boots in Fredericksburg few years before I brought them to Montana. I couldnt remember the name or the style. I gave the saleswoman a brief description and she pulled three pairs of boots off the shelf each pair I would have bought. She knew exactly what I was describing and even opened up a brand new pair of socks for me to try them on. She she suggested a boot cream thats brought the colors out even better and I couldnt be happier with my purchase. I love it when a store has employees that are knowledgeable of their products I can accurately help in the suggestion of purchasing something similar or with the specifications that a customer needs. Thank you so much for helping me select my new pair of Ariat work boots. They fit perfectly and are exactly what I wanted!

1 /5 Grant Pierson: Went to exchange a pair of jeans that we bought at the same store. Told that I had to get jeans of same price or more. The jeans that fit me were $15.00 cheaper, I said no problem, just keep the difference. Clerk refused. Not bright at all and a very bad experience. Will not be returning again.

1 /5 Stephanie Atkinson: 3rd UPDATE a year later & the store is honestly trying to respond again to this complaint. NO, I didnt email or call because I was there at the store live and in person when this event happened. I talked to an associate and asked for a manager that day, so they were well aware of my issue and this complaint. Of course a year later, I do not remember the names of all the parties, and it is a bit too late for the store to be responding to my complaint yet again. AGAIN, I will never be back to this store and will never give them my business. I will be sure to shop in Bandera at the Cowboy Store or at Boot Barn down the road from their store. 2nd UPDATE Store Owner responds 10 months later. Of course I substantiated this claim by talking to both the store associate the date of this google review and a manager who confirmed their denial by walking over to me at the checkout area and agreeing with the associate. To come back and send a response 10 months later is plain ridiculous. So happy to have Boot Barn come to town and Cowboy Store in Bandera. Poor customer service. UPDATE!!! Their response below is stating I had a more expensive item to exchange and that is COMPLETELY false, the price was exactly 38.99 i.e. same as the other one I bought...why would your associate and manager lie. Your response shows even more why I will never go back there...horrible service. I have spent 1000s at this store. I purchased boys Cinch jeans in 14 slim that were too small for my son and went in for an exchange, and unfortunately believe the receipt fell out of my bag. They said i could exchange, fair enough and i never asked for a refund. The jeans were never worn, tags and stickers still on and still in store bag. I found same brand jeans (Cinch) in a 16R and at the same exact price and they refused to let me exchange. They said it needed to be the same exact brand and look. I was even buying another 40 dollar shirt. They lost my business forever and that is just plain poor customer service...never once attempted to help me find the right size in the item of same type or asked a manager to approve the even exchange. I will never be back! Very disappointed.
