1 /5 Summer Fowler: EDIT AGAIN: Id be mad and hitting the counter too if someone were as demanding and rude to me as your staff man at the front counter! You continue to back this man when he is clearly a problem and you have zero customer service skills. The things he said to her would drive any sane person mad so do not even try to blame the customer here. Get a grip. and New management!
Edit: Ellis Mercantile Owner- do not comment on this and say your intention was not to be rude and “policy is policy”, because your intention was most definitely RUDE, and apparently we’re not the only customers to notice. Your family owned business has gone downhill due to the man at the counter. All the bad reviews are about HIM, when will you do something about it?? How many customers will you lose until you take care of the mama attitude???
Don’t buy your friends or family members gifts here. You can’t return or exchange them if they don’t fit or they already have what you bought! The man working the counter is apparently over the holidays and treats their long time customers like trash when they need to exchange items that don’t work for who you bought them for! You’ll be stuck with a gift you can’t even give. DO NOT recommend this place for gifts. The man told my mother she needs to learn to read because in the “fine print” on the signs it says no returns. Then he continued to demean her and talk to her like an idiot. She literally just wanted to exchange for a different color because she already had that one. But instead of handling the situation with the grace, the man chose the worst possible way to talk to customers and lost life long customers over a $30 exchange. My family has drove over an hour to get there for years and spent thousands of dollars, not anymore!
