Sofia Ramirez I’m so happy that Johnny Was is still holding it down in Santa Monica Place. With so many stores cycling out lately, it’s genuinely refreshing to walk into a space that still feels intentional, elevated, and beautifully curated. Johnny Was brings color, texture, enjoy to a mall and city that has had its fair share of changes, challenges, and struggles. The vibe is relaxed, but chic, very SoCal, and the staff is incredibly warm and helpful. Not pushy, not checked out, just present in the best way. I walked in just to browse, and ended up, leaving with the most gorgeous outfit. You can tell the team really cares about the customer experience. They took time to help me style a full look, gave honest feedback, and made the whole visit feel personal. In a time where a lot of retail feels either impersonal or like is disappearing altogether, Johnny Was still feels like a brand that gets it. I hope they stay here for the long-haul Santa Monica needs stores like this.

Brittany Clary Normally, I dread swimsuit shopping because finding a style that makes you feel confident feels impossible to achieve. However, that was not the case at all here at Slo Swim. I am very grateful to both Kendall and the owner for helping me find some pieces I felt amazing and confident in for my trip to Hawaii. They have an amazing selection of swimwear, and I found some great one pieces that didnt feel outdated to me at all (as a 24 y.o.). I also loved how they listened to my feedback and tailored my shopping experience to my needs and wants, especially when I was looking for a black bikini. I walked away with more than I could have imagined and I loved the whole shopping experience from beginning to end. I would recommend this place first above all other stores with swimwear for women looking for their next beach fit! Thanks again.

Maarick Such a great shop! Everything you could possibly think of. Shop owner is awesome and very friendly. Beautiful Native art and jewelry, best selection I’ve ever seen. Lots of great old books. Everything from tools to clothes, they’ve got it. Definitely a shop worth exploring
