I would give zero stars if I could. My experience with Macy’s Furniture in Monterey has been an absolute nightmare that has lasted months. I ordered a sofa months ago, and they have managed to send the wrong item twice.
The first delivery was a "hit and run." We told the driver the sofa was incorrect and not to leave it. He lied to our faces, saying he was just moving the truck so a neighbor could get their car out—then he simply drove off, leaving a massive white sofa I never ordered sitting in my wine room. When I called Macys, the salesperson actually had the audacity to threaten me, saying I "better be careful" not to damage the wrong sofa or I wouldnt get my money back.
Today was the second attempt. My husband, Todd, insisted the driver open the box while it was still on the truck to verify the item. Surprise—it was the wrong sofa AGAIN. The driver refused to take any responsibility, slammed the issue onto the warehouse manager, and left.
Currently, I am out the money for TWO sofas, I’m stuck with a white sofa I didnt order taking up space in my home, and Macy’s refuses to refund me until the "correct" sofa arrives—an item I honestly don’t believe I will ever receive. No one at this company takes accountability. I’ve seen other reviews where this exact same thing happened to another woman. This is predatory, unprofessional, and the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Save yourself the stress and the money: Stay far away from Macy’s Furniture.
