The Matrix Community Outreach Center - (Near Defuniak Springs, FL)

1 /5 Jennifer Day: I am a single mom of 5 and homeless right now. I called 2-1-1 and reached out to caring and sharing of south walton to get help. They referred me to the Homeless and Housing Alliance. When Mariah from the homeless and housing alliance called me, she stated she was sending them a referral to the Matrix to assist our family. I called, called, called, no answer so I left a message. Well, I decided I would drive over in desperation because my children and I been homeless since 2024 and desperately need assistance. When we got there (at 11:00 am) the sign said they were open. When we got out the car and walked up to the door, they turned the sign around to make it look like they were closed. I left a message explaining our situation, nobody bothered to call back and speak to me. They advertise that there’s showers there, and somewhere to wash clothes…. Well they locked up those doors too. This is the only place in the area that 2-1-1 refers homeless people to and all I got was an automated message saying that they were not helping us. Guess we will be homeless forever. Thanks Matrix.

1 /5 Royal Squad: They don’t help anybody they only help who they wanna help. I’ve been begging them for two months to help me. I was bullied by my landlord no help but they called the Looney band on me when I want to take my life they can help me try to take my life, but they wouldn’t help me get a place now that I’m homeless. They still won’t help me the major. Our community is not the community. I’m homeless right now. I’ve been eating out of trashcan and everything Been reaching out to the matrix program. They still ain’t helped me know they’re not the outreach program they only reach who they wanna reach and they watch other people suffer and I’m still homeless to this day and they still won’t help me.

2 /5 Eva Wood: Workers are not friendly, and speak cross to peoples children. She was sitting playing quietly with a toy, caused no harm.

4 /5 Melody Langley: This is one of my favorite boutique type thrift stores. The merchandise is good quality, organized, and most items are reasonably priced. I am excited that they are expanding their merchandise to include more household items and a bit of furniture. The ladies that work there are just plain fun to chat and visit with.

1 /5 Amy Marissa: Rude black clerk couldnt wait to use her pitiful authority to inform me that the knitted sweaters I was purchasing were not considered tops in the sale that was advertised in the front of the store that read: "All ladies tops $1". Honestly I wasnt even aware of the sale until she mentioned it, but seeing how delighted she was to give me the bad news I told her she could keep the cart full of items I was trying to purchase!
