Ann Taylor - (Near Ann Arbor, MI)

1 /5 Megan Michael: My friend and I were out shopping this past Saturday (01/27), when we decided to pop into this location. The first thing I saw was a beautiful olive green suit at the front. I am a young professional & it would be perfect for my job. I grabbed it & began looking for other items to pair with it. Unfortunately, my first interaction with an associate (dark hair, blue sweater) was when she attempted to grab the suit in my hands. I was on the phone while I wad browsing & it startled me because she never announced herself or that she was an employee. I was on the phone when she tried to grab it & then she rolled her eyes and huffed when I pulled it away from her. She then told me she was going to start a fitting room - she didnt ask.  It was incredibly rude of her to just grab it without announcing herself. Once we finally did go back to the fitting rooms, she mixed up the articles of clothing for my friend and I (split up the suit into two different rooms even). Then she ignored us for the rest of the time we were back there. We ended up putting everything back and leaving because we felt uncomfortable. I ended up buying the suit online because I didnt want to support this location.

1 /5 Rachel Yu: I had a very unpleasant shopping experience with this store. I placed an online order for a dress and picked up at the store. The asian sales rep told me to try it on at the store to make sure it fits so I did. Its kind the loose but I think I can hold onto it until I find a replacement. I bought another dress at Dry Good so I never take the dress out the bag since. Yesterday (8 days after I picked up the dress), my daughter went to the store and returned the dress for me. A sale rep named Yelena said I ripped the dress (which I never did) and only allowed me to get a merch credit. The worst customer service I ever had from a clothes retail store. Would never visit again.

1 /5 Suze A: My friend and I were shopping there over the weekend, we both work professional jobs and like the clothing offered by Ann Taylor. Despite having the need and want to purchase items, we were both ignored by the employees working in favor of a young woman who was shopping with her mother who was a size zero. This was stated as few as ten times, that she was a SIZE ZERO, meanwhile, we were never asked if we needed alterative sizes in the items we were trying on, or if there was anything we could use help with. Neither of us are a size zero, so Im sure we werent their preferred size to help. My friend wanted to purchase a suit, but did so online instead of trying to convince the sales associate or manager to give us the time of day to order it in the store. I dont think I would purposefully ever go into this store location again.

1 /5 J.H. WANG: This Ann Taylor store was the worst I’ve ever visited in great Detroit area. I went to return my online orders yesterday. First I was told by a young sales lady that I can only get store credit for the return because my orders are final sale. The the Asian sales lady, seems to be the store manager came abruptly and told me final sales are not refundable at all. That is okay. But the Asian sales lady was extremely rude. She stared right at my eyes and acted very unfriendly. When I asked the young sales lady whether I can leave the orders there because I don’t want them anymore. The Asian sales lady interrupted and said no, we don’t accept them. And she handed over the clothes back to me and didn’t even give me a bag. I seriously consider not visiting Ann Taylor’s stores even online stores. This experience made me sick.

5 /5 Annex Paredown: For many years I have relied on Ann Taylor for attractive, well fitting ‘work clothes’ and have always received good service. Yesterday afternoon, I went to the Briarwood store in a panic with a need to pull together an outfit for an important 6:30pm event and did they ever come through for me! It is so refreshing to get real, person to person help on the floor! As it turned out, there was a 50% off sale going on to boot..1/2 of everything I bought! Thank you, thank you!!!
