1 /5 Faith Hammond: We likely won’t be returning to this location due to the uncomfortable experience we had tonight. From the moment my husband and I entered, we were separately approached by all three employees asking if we needed assistance. I appreciate the intention behind this and the two younger employees who allowed us to browse at our own pace. However there was one older woman in particular who was relentless. When my husband tried on a pair of jeans and two shirts, he found that the shirts fit well but needed to continue looking for jeans. He placed the single pair of jeans on the shelf in the dressing room. Almost immediately, this woman came over and asked about the “other pair.” I pointed to the jeans in her hand and confirmed that he only had that one pair. After that, he returned to the jeans section, grabbed two more pairs to try on, and one of those fit. Both times he walked out of the dressing room she came over asking questions, much more than I would think she does for most customers. It was not in a genuine way, rather quite passive aggressive. He attempted to return the other pair to the section he got them from, since those hadn’t even been unfolded. She insisted she would “take the pair we didn’t want” even though he had neatly placed it on the shelf. Maybe there was a reason for this but I can’t think of one other than she suspected we were trying to steal. I’m unsure if her assumptions were based on our age, but the whole experience felt awkward and unnecessary.
