1 /5 Debbie Acosta: I want to leave feedback about the terrible service my husband received at the Boot Barn Clovis location tonight with the manager on duty. She was extremely unprofessional when I came in with a return.
I had the receipt, and the item was purchased less than 10 days ago. Instead of simply processing the return, she repeatedly questioned whether I had even bought the item there, making me feel like I was lying. She said things like, “Are you sure this is from here?” and “We’ve got to make sure it is,” which was very uncomfortable and unnecessary.
For the record, the receipt clearly showed it was purchased from Boot Barn. I was returning the item because the shoe wore out much faster than expected and did not hold its sole, which is exactly why I wanted an exchange not a refund. Instead of handling the situation professionally, she implied that I had stolen the item or was being dishonest.
This was insulting, judgmental, and unacceptable. I strongly encourage Boot Barn to better train employees, especially managers, on how to treat customers respectfully and professionally. The way I was treated tonight was not only disappointing but also offensive.
