Dillards - (Near College Station, TX)

1 /5 Christy Lea: I used to love Dillards, but it has gone downhill over the past few years (mainly due to staff - hard to find someone to help you). Tonight I had to return a dress that I bought on the 17th (4 days ago). After walking around I finally found a sales person (common occurrence). When I tried to return the dress I was told it was over 3 days (by 1 day). Sales people really need to let people know you only have 3 days to return an item if item is 65% off. After being told this I found the lady who checked me out when I bought the dress & told her. She claimed to not know about this 3 day policy!!!! Not only does she need to know this policy, but she & other employees checking people out need to let people know when checking things out. I bought 3 items on sale & checked out from 3 different people & not one of them mentioned I only had 3 days to return. I feel Dillards essentially stole from me. If I had known I would have gone yesterday. This past purchases will be my last purchase for a very long time.

1 /5 Eric: I never feel the need to share a review ever but today it irked me so bad I have to say something. I was just checking the Polo Ralph Lauren zip ups and just getting a plain black one and before I could even look at it fully to see if I liked it the lady working at around 5:30 PM on this day (12/15/25) dosent come up to me but talks loudly to me if I needed any help and I said no maam. Plain and simple. But she goes ahead and comes up to me anyways and grabs the zip up I picked up not even for 3 seconds and demands it from me and asks to take it for now when I wasn’t even done looking at it. I don’t know if she thinks I was going to steal it or if I couldn’t afford to be unfolding a $150 zip up or because im young but trust me money was NOT a problem as I had already spent almost $300 inside the mall anyways… but I was embarrassed to say the least because I don’t know if it was the way I was dressed either but I didn’t think I looked like a bum today but after I sure did feel like it… finally I go to checkout and she dosent finish with the costumer yet and decided to yell what do you need sir… like I didn’t need the jacket you just snatched out of my hands. Maybe she was surprised I didn’t grab anything from the discount rack and I could actually afford full priced items. I wanted to look at other stuff but I was already embarrassed enough I just wanted to checkout and leave. I went ahead and bought it anyways so she knew I wasn’t just a broke looking young person… I guess. Didn’t even tell me how my day was or to have a good day at that. Just checked me out and went off. I also don’t feel comfortable having her press through the keypad while I have my card in it. I’m sure that’s for the CUSTOMER to look and press at. Now I don’t know what she was pressing answers to on the screen. I guess if your tactics is to make people humiliated so they buy the items to prove they’re not broke I guess you’re doing a fantastic job at it. You were nicer to everyone else who was older and looked as if they had money but why not me? Maybe I’m just young and broke??? Having no business in a store as “High-End” as Dillards.. Needless to say I’m humiliated and uncomfortable with this whole situation.

1 /5 Karen Nix: My pregnant daughter was excited to see a doona stroller with blue and white striped accents on display for sale at the College Station, Texas Dillards. But it was just for show. Dillards didnt have any to sale. The saleslady was super nice and suggested looking online for model. We found it and was able to get it delivered within the week from a competitor retailer.

1 /5 Mohammed Patel: The girl named Christal was amazing. Went above and beyond to help me find shoes for my kid. It was only her and one other lady working in the kids area that day. The only bad thing is that she had to stop in the middle of checking me out because she got a phone call from her manager. You could hear her manager getting onto her about cleaning up the babies area. She was clearly overworked and had piles of shirts she was folding on her desk. The employees are so overworked, and management sounded so mean over the phone!! It was very distressing for my kids and I to hear. The quality of the shoes is great and are good for school. The shirts and pants were folded nicely in my bag after we checked out. Christal was still very nice and got us checked out quickly regardless. Management needs to do better!! Mistreatment!!
